Project Overview

We designed an all-in-one platform to streamline the insurance claiming and restoration process for insured individuals, insurance companies, and restoration companies. The solution ensures a seamless and collaborative experience for all parties involved.

Challenges

Our primary challenge was to design a platform capable of addressing the pain points experienced by insured individuals when filing an insurance claim. Additionally, we needed to facilitate the insurance company's verification process and enhance communication and coordination among all three parties involved. Achieving transparency at every step of the process and ensuring that each party remains informed were key objectives.

To tackle these challenges, we made a platform that offers a simplified interface for insured individuals to file claims. For insurance companies, we introduced tools to expedite the verification process and improve coordination with restoration companies. For restoration companies, we provided ways to efficiently access and act on assigned tasks. For each hand off stage, users can track the processes between each other.

Process

  1. We conducted interviews to gain insights into the pain points and needs of insured individuals when filing claims, the verification requirements of insurance companies, and the workflow processes of restoration companies.
  2. We mapped out multiple mobile and web application interfaces for usage flows that focused on intertwining the claiming process for insured individuals, insurance companies and restoration companies.
  3. We designed and iterated on mockups, having them evaluated by the product owner to ensure acceptance and usability.
  4. High-fidelity mockups and prototypes were produced to support the product owner in pitching the end-goal vision for acceptance.

Central to this platform is a unified user experience that brings together three external parties for a collaborative experience. For insured individuals, it provides a seamless process for filing claims. Insurance companies benefit from streamlined verification tools, enhancing coordination with restoration companies. Restoration companies have efficient access to assigned tasks, ensuring a swift response. Transparency and communication are prioritized, ensuring that all parties remain well-informed throughout the insurance claiming and restoration journey.
