We helped create a web application tailored for environmental monitoring, offering an editable dashboard complete with custom widgets and user-friendly presets. Users have the flexibility to choose from pre-configured presets, specifically designed for various user groups, such as those focused on business or regulatory aspects. Users can also create and customize their own presets, tailoring their dashboard to meet their specific needs.
Our main challenge was to create a versatile dashboard system that could cater to diverse user groups while maintaining a streamlined user experience. We needed to develop a solution that allowed users to easily select presets or craft their own configurations for emissions tracking. We also needed to adhere to a specific grid system for widgets.
To address these challenges, we introduced a preset feature, which includes pre-configured dashboard setups for different user groups. Users can select a preset from a drop-down menu, which populates their dashboard with widgets relevant to their specific focus, whether it's business-related or regulatory. Furthermore, users have the flexibility to customize these presets or create entirely new configurations to align with their individual monitoring needs. Each widget uses a specific tile size, so that each widget fits into either a one tile or two tile category. These tiles can then be customized with a click system, or a drag-and-drop system.
